What Is TagFlex? One Device, Unlimited Use Cases
TagFlex lets you create multiple profiles and instantly switch what your TagAlong device shares: contact card, social links, files, or a single URL. One device, unlimited personas.
You bought a TagAlong device. You tapped it on someone's phone. They got your contact info. That's cool, but it's only the beginning.
TagFlex is the feature that turns a one-trick NFC device into something that adapts to your life. It lets you change what your device shares, instantly, without buying a new card or keytag.
So What Exactly Is TagFlex?
TagFlex is a built-in control panel for every TagAlong device. It gives you the power to switch between different sharing modes with a single tap in your dashboard. No waiting, no technical setup, no limits on how often you switch.
Think of it this way: your TagAlong device is the hardware. TagFlex is the brain behind it.
Multiple Profiles, One Device
This is where TagFlex really shines. You can create multiple profiles on a single device, each with completely different information.
Say you're a software developer who also does photography on the side. You don't want to hand someone your photography portfolio when they're asking about a coding project. With TagFlex, you create two profiles:
- "Work" profile: your developer name, company email, LinkedIn, GitHub
- "Photography" profile: your creative name, portfolio website, Instagram, phone number
Each profile has its own name, email, phone number, job title, company, photo, and social links. They're completely independent identities on the same device.
Switching between them takes one tap in your dashboard. Before a tech meetup, activate your Work profile. Heading to a wedding fair to network as a photographer? Switch to your Photography profile. Same card, different persona.
There's no limit to how many profiles you can create. Some people keep two. Others have four or five for different contexts. You decide what makes sense for how you work.
What Can You Share?
TagFlex doesn't box you into a fixed set of options. You can point your device at anything: a contact profile, a single URL, a page of links, shared files, or any combination across your profiles. Here are some of the things people use it for.
Contact Profiles
When someone taps your device, they see your active profile: name, phone number, email, job title, company, photo. They can save your contact directly to their phone with one tap. Since you can have multiple profiles, you choose which one people see. Your "Work" profile at the office, your "Personal" profile at a house party.
Direct Links
Point your device at any URL. Your Instagram, WhatsApp, company website, booking page, Google review page, a YouTube video. Set it before an event, change it after. One tap in your dashboard.
Links Page
Works like Linktree, built right into your device. When someone taps, they see a clean page with all the links you've chosen to display. You control which links show up and which stay hidden. Toggle them on and off anytime.
Shared Files
Attach documents, menus, CVs, portfolios, price lists, or brochures to your device. When someone taps, they can view or download whatever you've uploaded. Swap the files out whenever you need to.
Mix and Match
The real power is combining these across profiles. Your "Work" profile can share a contact card. Your "Freelance" profile can share a links page. Your "Event" profile can point to a single registration URL. Switch between them in seconds.
Why TagFlex Matters
Most NFC business cards lock you into one profile. You set it up once and that's it. If your information changes or you need to share something different, you're stuck.
TagFlex removes that limitation completely. Multiple profiles, unlimited sharing options, and instant switching means your device adapts to any situation:
- Monday morning: Your "Corporate" profile for a client meeting
- Monday evening: Links page with your socials for a networking mixer
- Tuesday: Direct link to a Google review page for your business
- Wednesday: Shared files with a proposal PDF for a pitch
- Saturday: Your "Side Hustle" profile for a weekend market
One device. Unlimited profiles. Unlimited use cases. Every switch happens instantly from your dashboard.
How to Use TagFlex
- Log in to your TagAlong dashboard
- Go to Dashboard and tap the device you want to customize
- You'll see the TagFlex panel with all your options
- Pick what you want to share, configure it, and save
- That's it. The next time someone taps your device, they'll see the new content
Changes take effect immediately. There's no delay, no approval process, no extra cost.
Real Scenarios
Tunde is a software developer and photographer in Port Harcourt. He has two profiles on his TagAlong card. His "Dev" profile has his company email, LinkedIn, and GitHub. His "Photography" profile has his personal number, Instagram, and portfolio link. During the week, his Dev profile is active. On weekends at events, he switches to Photography. One card, two careers, zero confusion.
Amaka is a real estate agent in Lekki. She keeps her main profile active most of the time so people can save her contact. Before property viewings, she switches to Shared Files mode so buyers can download the brochure on the spot. After the viewing, she switches back.
Chidi runs a barber shop in Aba and also DJs on weekends. His "Barber" profile shows his shop address, WhatsApp, and booking link. His "DJ ChidiBoi" profile shows his stage name, music socials, and booking email. Same keytag on his keychain, completely different personas depending on the crowd.
Emeka manages a restaurant in Enugu. His TagAlong device stays in Single URL mode, pointing to the restaurant's Google review page. Every customer who taps leaves a review without fumbling through search results.
One device. Unlimited profiles. Unlimited use cases. Every switch happens instantly from your dashboard.
One Device, Your Rules
TagFlex is included with every TagAlong device. There's nothing extra to buy, no subscription, no limit on how many profiles you can create, and no limit on how many times you can switch. It's just part of how TagAlong works.
If you already have a TagAlong device, open your dashboard, create a second profile, and start experimenting. If you don't have one yet, check out current pricing and pick the device that fits your style.
